Show For Real This Time!
| Posted by marshmallowpies3 on Thursday, November 30, 2006 - 01:05 AM GMT (1385 Reads)
We have a show this time for real coming up on December 21rst at Kings Barcade in Raleigh, our fair city. Valley (We have beards and we'll knock you out), The Shrink (We don't have beards but we'll still knock you out), and Sunrise Action (Sebi's new thing-self explanatory-we think?) will all be playing, beginning as close as possible to the hour of 9 p.m.
The doors will open at 8 p.m. There is a meager cover charge of five dollars for those who provide an ID that says that they are 21, and seven dollars for those who cannot. Sorry but the man demands payment in exchange for free thought. Love and hugs to all of you and have some good holidays, whichever you prefer. See you soon.
Love,
~@sphalt~

Also~ got an e-mail regarding some recent radio play~ apparently WKNC has picked us up again. To anybody that may have requested us thank you, it seems we are in very good company...

Show!
| Posted by marshmallowpies3 on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 - 12:19 PM GMT (477 Reads)
Ok so its thanksgiving time and all the little children get to have a break from their studies-which means we're all gonna be in Raleigh again! We won't have a show sometime in early January-probably the 2nd-but if we did we WOULD be playing with Valley and Sebi's new thing which we're all very excited to hear even tho we cant possibly fathom Sebi playing folk dance music
(uh...wat it is bra)!
Anyways, we hope everyone has a fantastical break and come to see us at the Brewery sometime but most likely NOT on the 2nd day of 07. Take care-things are looking up-the stars have aligned in our favor, so we're going to hopefully be getting a show and recording lots.
As always, Peace.

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to give you an update. So Jonny and I are in college already and we're loving it, Chris goes in early September. Our plan is to record a short demo of our new songs during Thanksgiving break with Matt Catarba of Valley. We will be having a show at the Brewery in December-but we haven't finalized the date just yet. I hope you all are well. Have a good time in school (if you still do that sort of thing).
As Always-Peace-

| Posted by marshmallowpies3 on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 - 10:37 AM GMT (448 Reads)
Wats up guys~
We are pleased to inform you that we will be playing at The Brewery (down on Hillsborough St.) on Monday, July 10th.
We're really excited to be playing along with "Valley"- our pals who graciously agreed to play, and Nick Davison's band named: "The Scarlet Divide." The show will begin promptly and resoundingly at 8:30 p.m.
I would love it for you to come, if the event fulfills the necessary requirement of fitting into all of your extremely busy and important schedules.
This show is going to rock guys cause we know these bands can bring it fo shizzle.
This may be one of our very last major club shows for a while since we're gonna have stupid college to work around starting in August.
Keep looking for a short e.p.-we really want to get that done before summer's gone.
More Packed Details to come.

Hey Guys,
We have added the demo of "Rain" from our new E.P. on to the Myspace Along with the cover art for the E.P.
There has been a slight delay in the creation of the new E.P seeing as the person in charge of our recording royally screwed all the computers thus making our cuts obsolete~ We'll begin again as soon as possible and have it ready and online as soon as we can. Untill then Much Love, Chris O. on behalf of Asphalt

Hey guys!
Asphalt has made it into the Raleigh Battle of the Bnads, which will be at Laurel Hills Park, on October the 22nd from 400-930, its pretty darn exciting, itll be $5 to see all 8 bands... and yeah man we're gonna need alot of people coming and supporting so bring as many people as you possibly can.
BUT
BEFORE that goes on , we will be playing a show THIS friday October the 7th at the record exchange from 7-8! YES we are aware that the SAT's are the next day!! but think about it, "hey mom can i go to a party tonight" 'NO!", vs. "hey mom, can i go to a show at 7 on hillsborough st. that end's at 8 pm?" HELL YeS YOU CAN
and its FREE so be sure to come out man, NO excuses :)
LASTLY!
"The Eaves" is extremely near completion!! we will order them in no more then 2 weeks and have them by mid/late october, if you'd like to reserve a copy, you can buy them now on our store to insure that you get one of the first 100 copies, we're not sure how fast they'll disapear, so online orders will be filled first!
i do believe that is all for now

we DO NOT have the album yet in stock so DO NOT purchase it yet, when it is available we will tell you, however if you are rich and feel like buying it in advance to mkae sure you get a copy that's fine by us :)
The Webmail is something we are attempting to set up, but logistics may prove difficult, if you're interested in having a @asphaltband.com account that you will actually use email me at Krispy@asphaltband.com maybe we will have a contest perhaps...
Show THIS saturday at the pour house with sebi, interfunk and dan thompson! cost is four dollars show starts at 1, we'll be playing from 4-5 :)
Also The City of Raleigh is hosting a Battle of the Bands on October 22nd at Laurel Hills Park, from 4-9 (thats a saturday) and it should be awesome, they're still looking for bands to register! so if you're also in a cool band deadline is september 22nd, together we can make it rock!

NEWS: Back To School Show
| Posted by marshmallowpies3 on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 - 12:43 PM GMT (260 Reads)
There will hopefully be a show this Friday, August 26th at the Record Exchange depending on whether Brian will be in town (his grandpa's funeral may conflict with this date). Right now it looks like the show will go on, but it could be moved to a later date at the last minute. Since Asphalt cares, we ask that you check the website, or at least the walls at Enloe High School (gross) to see that the show will indeed be happening before driving yourself down to Hillsborough St. for the 7 o'clock show. Thanks for understanding guys. Love you all.
